What's Happening @ the Appleton Public Library

The Appleton Public Library is offering curbside pick-up, by appointment browsing for books/materials, as well as by appointment computer time. Please call us at 320-289-1681 and let us help you. We’re accepting returns through our outside drop box that is located on the west side of the Appleton Civic Center.

Our Winter Reading Program for adults will start January 1st, 2021. Please call us and register for this fun program. All you need to do is read books from the public library and you will earn prizes. Watch on FACEBOOK for announcements of our Weekly Take and Makes for children and teens. We also are offering a Canvas painting Take and Make for adults, for more information and or to register, call us at 320-289-1681.

Our digital library is always OPEN with books, audiobooks, and we are offering 10 different magazines (, we have free WIFI outside out library 24/7, browse our Little Free Libraries, located at the Appleton Campground, Take a book, Leave a book.

New Reads: “How to Raise an Elephant” by Alexander Mccall Smith is the next No. 1 Detective agency novel. , “The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany” by Lori Nelson Spielman is the perfect mix of family, curses, and a bit of romance. , Wanda E Brunstetter has a new book called “Amish Friends from Scratch Cookbook, sounds delicious.

We are going green as of May 15th, 2013!

The Appleton Public Library, a member of the Pioneerland Library system, is going green effective May 15, 2013. What does that mean? We are collecting e-mail addresses from our library patrons and sending out overdue notices via e-mail rather than through regular U.S. mail. Please make sure we have the most current e-mail address for you on your next visit to the library.
