What's Happening @ the Appleton Public Library


This month we are celebrating our 1000 books before Kindergarten program with a Dr. Seuss Magic Show on Saturday, February 23rd at 10 a.m. Registration is not required and this is open to children and families. We hope to see a great crowd for a magical good time. Our Winter Reading program for adults began on January 1st and runs through March 31st, 2019. You read books and earn prizes too.


New Reads: “Under the Midnight Sun” by Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse is book 3 in the Heart of Alaska series. , “Kingdom of the Blind” by Louise Penny is the next Armand Gamache novel.

Winter Reads, Adult Winter Reading program begins Jan. 1-Mar. 31. Stop by to register.


Wednesdays in February  6,13,20, & 27 Coloring for Adults, all supplies included for your relaxation.

Thursday, February 14th-Valentine’s Day!


Thursday, February 14th-1p.m. Live Well, Age Wiselycoffee and conversation on topics for age 55+.

Wednesday, February 20th-6:30p.m.- Pajama Story time with stories, crafts, and a fun snack too.


Wednesday, February 20th 4-6p.m.-ABE/Computer class with Steve Sterud

Wednesday, February 27th-3:30-4:30p.m. LEGO club for grades 2-6. Join us and be creative!


Register your child age 0-5 for our 1000 books before Kindergarten program. Read books and earn prizes while enjoying your time together.

We are going green as of May 15th, 2013!

The Appleton Public Library, a member of the Pioneerland Library system, is going green effective May 15, 2013. What does that mean? We are collecting e-mail addresses from our library patrons and sending out overdue notices via e-mail rather than through regular U.S. mail. Please make sure we have the most current e-mail address for you on your next visit to the library.
