What's Happening @ the Appleton Public Library


Can you believe that October is right around the corner? We have many new and exciting events planned, including an author visit from Jeanne Cooney on Wednesday, October 11th at 6:30p.m., she will be talking about her book series beginning with “Hot Dish Heaven” a murder mystery read with recipes. Keep in mind to stop by and visit with Steve Sterud, our resident computer expert. Steve is at the Appleton Public Library twice a month to help with any and all computer questions.


 New Reads: “Any Dream Will Do” by Debbie Macomber is the story of a courageous journey to find out what love and trust is really about. , “Nothing Stays Buried” by P.J. Tracy is the next Monkeewrench novel., Conscience of a Conservative” by Jeff Flake is the authors opinion of destructive politics and a return to principle. , “The Big Lie” by Dinesh D’Souza exposing the Nazi roots of the American left.

Wednesday, October 4th -Computer class with Steve Sterud, 4-6p.m.


Tuesday, October 10th @3:30-5:30p.m. join us for Teen read week and join us in this new craze on painting rocks…keep one, hide one. This event is for grades 5-12.


Wednesday, October 11th @ 6:30p.m.author Jeannie Cooney will be here to talk about her mystery series with recipes. We will be sampling some of them.


Friday, October 13th @ 10:30a.m. is Crayon Story time with stories, songs, and a fun craft too.


Tuesday, October 17th @1:30-3p.m. Coloring, Coffee, & Conversations , Coffee and coloring sheets  provided.


Wednesday, October 18th -Computer class with Steve Sterud, 4-6p.m.


Saturday, October 21st @1:30p.m. is Candy corn & costumes, come dressed in your costume for a roaring good time with stories, songs, and a few snacks too.


Monday, October 23rd @ 5:00p.m.-Coffee, cookies and Chat Book club TBA. Pick up a copy today. 


Tuesday, October 31st, Happy Halloween!


 


Register your child age 0-5 for our 1000 books before Kindergarten program. Read books and earn prizes while enjoying your time together.

We are going green as of May 15th, 2013!

The Appleton Public Library, a member of the Pioneerland Library system, is going green effective May 15, 2013. What does that mean? We are collecting e-mail addresses from our library patrons and sending out overdue notices via e-mail rather than through regular U.S. mail. Please make sure we have the most current e-mail address for you on your next visit to the library.
