Appleton Public Library: News bites

Volume 2, Issue 11 : November 2017 edition

What's Happening @ the Appleton Public Library

It is that time again, time to think of the Festival of Trees. This event is held at the Appleton Civic Center each year, with individuals/groups setting up/decorating a tree, participating in a contest with prize money, and the trees are left up during the entire month of December for all to enjoy. Sounds like a win win to me. We are accepting registrations for a Christmas play at the Barn Theatre in Willmar on November 30th. Please call for more information and to register at 320-289-1681.

New Reads: “SOAR!” by T.D. Jakes will refresh and build up your vision from the ground up. , “Tea and Touchdowns” by Erin Keeley Marshall returns us to the Tearoom mystery series. , “Where We Belong” by Lynn Austin brings us the story of two sisters and their lifetime of adventures across the countryside. , “Dangerous Illusions” by Irene Hannon continues the Men of honor series. , “Children of the Fleet” by Orson Scott Card returns us the the universe of Ender’s Game and beyond.

All events at the Appleton Public Library are free. Please call us for more information at 320-289-1681 or stop by to visit us at 323 West Schlieman Avenue in Appleton.

The Appleton Public Library, a member of the Pioneerland Library system, is going green effective May 15, 2013. What does that mean? We are collecting e-mail addresses from our library patrons and sending out overdue notices via e-mail rather than through regular U.S. mail. Please make sure we have the most current e-mail address for you on your next visit to the library.
