What's Happening @ the Appleton Public Library


Join us this week on Tuesday, August 1st at 3:30p.m.for the Scarecrow Storytime in Oz! This event is action orientated with volunteer audience participation. You won’t want to miss it. Also Wednesday, August 2nd at 6:30p.m.we will be showing the movie ROCK DOG! This is for families and children. Popcorn included. Stop by the Appleton Public Library and register for our free legacy sponsored Antiques Appraisal Event coming up on Thursday, August10th from 4-7p.m. Our guest Appraiser Mark Moran will be here to take a look at your item and let you know the history as well as an approximate value. Please remember to give us a call or to stop in if you would like to participate in this event. Guests are invited to watch as well.

New Reads: “The Sunshine Sisters” by Jane Green is about family, relationships, and a fresh start. , “Dangerous Minds” by Janet Evanovich is the next Knight and Moon novel. , “Undaunted” by Diana Palmer bring us a romance with a twist. , “Theft by Finding Diaries 1977-2002” by David Sedaris brings us the authors uncanny ability to observe and write about others in a way only Sedaris is able to do. , “The Duchess” by Danielle Steel writes a captivating historical novel that you simply will not be able to put down.

Monday, August 28th @ 5:00p.m.-Coffee, cookies and Chat Book club-TBA Pick up a copy today. 

Tuesday, August 29th @ 6:30p.m. –Multi-media Art for Teens and Adults. Attend alone or with a friend. This event is free, but registration is required.

 

Register your child age 0-5 for our 1000 books before Kindergarten program. Read books and earn prizes while enjoying your time together.

We are going green as of May 15th, 2013!

The Appleton Public Library, a member of the Pioneerland Library system, is going green effective May 15, 2013. What does that mean? We are collecting e-mail addresses from our library patrons and sending out overdue notices via e-mail rather than through regular U.S. mail. Please make sure we have the most current e-mail address for you on your next visit to the library.
