What's Happening @ the Appleton Public Library

The Month of June is just around the corner. We have some FABULOUS events planned for our Summer Reading programs for children age 4-4th grade and Teens in grades 5-12, with a few events for adults thrown in too. We hope everyone has a Great summer with lots of time for reading and relaxing in the sunshine.

 New Reads: . “A Breath of Hope” by Lauraine Snelling is book 2 of the Under Northern Skies series,  “The Knowledge” by Martha Grimes continues the Richard Jury Mystery series. , “All the Beautiful Lies” by Peter Swanson is a tale of obsession, revenge, and murder. , “Queen Anne’s Lace” by Susan Wittig Albert continues the China Bayles series , “Unmasked” by Andrew Lloyd Webber is the authors memoir.

June Events:

Wednesday, June 4th @ 3:30p.m.  Magic Bob and the Beautiful Lynn Marie will be at the Appleton Library with a special magic show called Reading can take you anywhere.

Wednesday, June 6th-4-6p.m.-Computer class with Steve Sterud.

Thursday, June 7th @ 3:30p.m. Swift Co. 4-H will be out of this world with action orientated activities.

Tuesday, June 12th @ 3:30p.m. Geology with Sara Gronfeld, will be talking rocks, rocks, and more rocks. Bring a rock to identify/share.

Tuesday, June 19th @ 1:30-3p.m. is Adult coloring with colors and coloring books provided.

Wednesday, June 20th 4-6p.m.-Computer class with Steve Sterud .

Monday, June 25th @ 5p.m.- Coffee, cookies, and chat Book club “The Prayer box” by Lisa Wingate. Pick up a copy and join us today.

Wednesday, June 27th @ 3:30p.m. Ralph’s World Music program...Dance Party!

Thursday, June 28th @ 3:30p.m. Metal bending and stamping for Teens in grades 5-12 , registration is required. All supplies included. Sample on display.

Thursday, June 28th @ 6:30p.m.  Metal bending and Jewelry Stamping for Adults, registration is required. All supplies included.  Seating is limited.


Register your child age 0-5 for our 1000 books before Kindergarten program. Read books and earn prizes while enjoying your time together.

Our hours at the Appleton Public Library are: Monday and Friday 10:30-5:30, Tuesday-

We are going green as of May 15th, 2013!

The Appleton Public Library, a member of the Pioneerland Library system, is going green effective May 15, 2013. What does that mean? We are collecting e-mail addresses from our library patrons and sending out overdue notices via e-mail rather than through regular U.S. mail. Please make sure we have the most current e-mail address for you on your next visit to the library.
